Manthal Buddha Rock
Manthal Buddha Rock is a massive granite boulder that bears a relief sculpture of the Buddha that is thought to have been created in the eighth century. This rock is in Pakistan's Skardu, in the locality of Manthal. One of the most significant Buddhist relics in Skardu is Buddha Rock. The distance from Satpara Lake's Sadpara Road is roughly 3 km.
The majority of inhabitants in the Gilgit-Baltistan region were Buddhists, and they carved Buddha images on several rocks prior to the coming of Islam. Because of its distant location, the world was unaware of this Buddha carving until the early 1900s.
