Angoori Dam

Angoori Dam/Waterfall is a famous tourist attraction in Islamabad, visitors can enjoy picnic & swiming. It is easily reachable within 30,40 minutes from Abpara or faizabad and 50, 60 minutes from Rawalpindi katcheri chowk.

It is heavily crouded in summer weekends, it is better to visit in weekdays in summer and whole week in winter. 

The dam is built on korang river branch coming from margala hills, chattar park is also situated on the same river up stream, the water further falls in to rawal dam.

There are no shops avaialble at the dam, visitors should buy from Bhara kahu market or bring home cooked food with them. 

To Reach here from Islamabad, travel via murree road, then take Bharakahu by pass, towards the Murree Expressway and at satra mile, take the road that branches off to the right, after aprox 1.3 km you will find road sign Angoori, you have to take u-turn a bit ahead of the sign board and get off from murree express way to angoori road, this road goes to patriata via angoori village without going to murree hills.

Since it is a bit isolated area, it is not recomended for solo female traveller, better to be along with a group.
